Before, co-founding Straatix, Amit was the Managing Director and Co-Head of the Enterprise Technology & Services Investment Banking business of Avendus Capital, one of India’s leading investment banks. In that role, he helped build the business from grounds up and architected marquee cross-border transactions in the technology services segment. Amit began his career as a business consultant at Lovelock & Lewes, a member firm of the erstwhile Coopers & Lybrand. He then moved to Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP), which was globally a leading new economy IT services company of the 90s. At Cambridge, Amit, focussed on delivering IT and CRM strategy solutions to marquee clients like Bombay Stock Exchange, HypoVereins bank, Germany, and John Crane Plc, UK. Post CTP India’s acquisition by Symphony Services (Symphony), he went onto lead Symphony’s internal corporate development and M&A activities. Symphony was a pioneer in providing offshore
product engineering services to global ISVs. Amit was associated with Symphony from its inception, building its first business plan, and was instrumental in the inorganic growth of the company, to a 1000+ employee organization, in less than three years.
